Updates!

Hi All!

Wow! We haven’t blogged here in a while! It has been a super busy last few months. Amanda graduated this summer, started a nursing job, and got married this fall! I was busy finishing up graduate school and student teaching, and I also got engaged. So, with weddings, graduations, new careers, and just life in general–we haven’t posted here much. Hopefully, you’ve been following us on our Facebook page, where we have been updating all the AMAZING sessions we’ve had this year (including our newest update, a gorgeous November wedding!).

So, the real reason I wanted to update everyone today was to tell you all some news. Next week, I am actually moving to Phoenix, Arizona (Fountain Hills, actually)! My family moved there back in April, and I made the decision to follow them out there. I love Ohio so much, so believe me, it was not an easy decision. However, I am really excited to see my family and begin my new adventure out west!  I’m hoping to continue pursuing photography, so if you know anyone out in Arizona, please have them contact me, because I would love to take their photos! I am actually working on a website right now at www.JessicaClouse.com, so if you would like to spread the word to any of your AZ friends, it would be much appreciated.

As for Sweet September Photography, Amanda will still be here. With her new job and marriage, she is going to be cutting down the amount of shoots she takes on, however, please let her know if you would like to set up a session!

Lastly, I would like to thank everyone for the massive amount of support you’ve given to us since we started this venture. It’s been so much fun, and I have loved every minute of all the craziness! Without all the encouragement from friends and family and the amazing referrals you all have given, we would never have gotten to the place we are today. So, thank you so much for making us great!

Have a rest of the year, and enjoy the holiday season!

Sullivan

Sullivan is such a cutie!  He was only 2 weeks old when we had the opportunity to take his newborn shots.  We think he turned out to be quite the little model!  We had so much fun photographing Sullivan and his parents!  Even the family dogs got in on the fun!

And a shot of the whole family!

Amanda and Jason’s Engagement Pictures!

Amanda and I have been friends FOREVER! At least it seems like forever when you’ve known each other since middle school, gone to college in the same city, lived together and started a photography business together! So, needless to say, when Amanda and Jason got engaged this past April, I was very happy for them! Of course, one of the first thoughts that crossed my mind were their engagement pictures…

When we arrived in Granville for their Independence Day Celebration, the first thing we noticed was the heat. It was the sweltering, sticky, please-get-me-back-into-the-AC kind of heat. But we had a mission, engagement pictures! I am definitely glad we braved the conditions, because I think their pictures turned out great!

Chip & Mandy-Wedding

We first met Chip and Mandy back in early November when they contacted us about shooting their wedding.  This was going to be our first wedding and we’d be lying if we said we weren’t a little nervous!  We could not have asked for a better wedding to shoot for our first time though.  Mandy and Chip are so in love and it truly shows.

The wedding took place at Taylor Mansion.  The grounds are gorgeous!

We’ve been busy lately, so we’re playing catch up on some of our blog posts!  Here’s what we’ve been up to…

Beckett & Family

We couldn’t have been luckier with the weather on the day we took Beckett’s photos.  All day long the weather had looked as if it would thunderstorm during our session, then they threw a tornado watch on top of it.  However, the storms held off and we were able to have a great session at Sharon Woods.  Beckett is quite the cutie and loves to laugh!  I think it shows!

Inara

Inara is the newest addition to the Ressler family!  She is super cute and has the most beautiful baby eyes!  We had so much fun getting her dressed up during the session….I’m not sure if she was as much of a fan of the outfit changes though!   Summer and Travis are great parents and you can really see how much they adore her!

Joey

Congratulations to my cousins, Don and Kera, on their new little one, Joey.  He came a little earlier than expected, but he’s doing great.   I had to get a few shots of him while I was visiting!  He’s such a sweet little baby!

Brooke’s Senior Session

We were thrilled to finally meet Brooke last Thursday, as we had to push back her senior session due to the monsoons of Central Ohio! We also got to meet her little friend, her dog Lil’ Bit, who had a fresh hairdo for her modeling debut!

Although it was a cloudy day, we got some great shots of Brooke at the pier in Galena. It’s awesome to have such a cool setting so close to home! We also took photos in the town center, and at Brooke’s church. We had so much fun spending time with Brooke, her Mom, and of course Lil’ Bit!

We got lucky and found a wall in Brooke’s favorite color!

And, the lovely Miss Lil’ Bit!

Maternity Shoot with Nargelys & Patrick

We met Nargelys and Patrick at Franklin Park Conservatory this past Sunday.  Our session took place just in time, because their baby Natalie made her debut just three days later!  They were such a sweet couple, and so excited to meet their first little one.

This was our first portrait session of the new year!  We were hoping the few nice days we’ve experienced may hang around for this session, but the Ohio weather didn’t quite cooperate.  Franklin Park Conservatory made a great backdrop for Nargelys and Patrick on that cold, rainy day.  The warmer weather can’t be too far away, and we can’t wait to shoot on those beautiful, sunny days.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Hope everyone is having a fabulous February 14! We’d like to send lots of love your way!

This winter, we have been really busy preparing for a very exciting year at Sweet September Photography. We are booking lots of portrait sessions and weddings for spring, summer, and fall. Let us know what we can do for you! We can’t wait to show you what we’ve got in store for 2011!

Have a great Valentine’s Day!

xoxo

Christmas Portraits

Last year, we were asked to take family photos of Caleb and his mom and dad. They were so sweet and so much fun to work with. We were so excited when they asked us to take some this year too! Caleb is an adorable bundle of energy, and loved showing us all his trains and cars. Here are some shots from the day:
